Course objectives
The submission of the bachelor's thesis is to demonstrate that the student is able to define, critically evaluate and interpret a historical problem in a written form at a professional level on the basis of literature and sources and under the supervision of a thesis supervisor. The understanding of the topic and the level of presentation of the topic are assessed in the thesis defence.
Syllabus
  • The bachelor's thesis has a minimum length of 70 000 characters. The binding part of the thesis is the title page, which contains the name of the university, faculty, institute, the title of the thesis, the designation of the type of thesis (bachelor's thesis), the name of the author, the thesis supervisor and the year of preparation, the author's declaration of the originality of the thesis, the content, the list of sources and literature used and the notes.
  • The assignment for the Bachelor's thesis should be set when registering for the first diploma seminar, i.e. usually at the beginning of the 5th semester of study. The student has the right to propose the topic of his/her Bachelor's thesis and to ask for guidance from the relevant teacher. Students publish their thesis by uploading an electronic version to the MUNI IS.
