- Introduction. Degradation of polymers in inert media. Mechanism and kinetics of the chain oxidative degradation of polymers. Inhibited oxidation. Antioxidants and mechanisms of their action. Application of antioxidants in polymers.Light stabilizers, mechanisms of their action and applications.Special types of polymer degradation. Plasticizers and lubricants. Antistatic and blowing agents. Flame retardants. Dyes, pigments, coloristics. Fillers and reinforcements for polymers. Overall aspects of polymer additivation.
