- Fundamental course for the students of biological programme. It is aimed at practical training of the fundamental areas of basic genetics. It is also aimed at acquaintance with the fundamental methods of classical genetics. Work with genetic model organisms Arabidopsis thaliana and Drosophila melanogaster is also included.
- Syllabus
- The practical course is aimed at practical application of the 1. principle of segregation and independent assortment, 2. linkage, 3. genetic mapping, 4. sex determination, 5. variations in chromosome number, 6. genetics of quantitative traits, 7. genetics of population, 8. Pedigree analysis, 9. Cytogenetics and karyotype, 10. genetic model organism Arabidopsis thaliana, 11. Genetic model organism Drosophila melanogaster, 12. Muller embryonal test, 13.
