- Course objectives
- Principles of analysis of metals, alloys, slags, silicates, rocks, ores and cements, water, soil and food analysis, drug analysis, analysis of oil and petroleum products, determination of gases in metals, surface analysis. In addition general ways of sampling, preparation and decomposition of samples for analyses are given.
- Syllabus
- Specific approach for the analytical chemistry of objects in the real world. Effects of sample matrices and components contents level as main factors for the analysis of real species. Treatments of samples and evaluation of analytical methods. Principles of analytical approaches for selected materials: Analysis of metals and alloys Non-metalic inclusions in metals Gas analysis in metals Analysis of silicates, glasses, slags and cements Soil analysis Analysis of ceramics and special materials Analysis of semi-conductors Surface and thin layer analysis Analytical chemistry of ultratraces in inorganic materials Limits of analytical methods Specifics of analysis of organic materials. Ways of sample preparation and decomposition Analysis of drugs Principles of hyphenated methods and analysis of speciations
