Course objectives
The aim is to acquaint students with structures in magmatic rocks, mechanisms of magma movement and regional-geological development of Central European variscides.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to understand the mechanisms of magmatic rocks movement and formation. The student will be also familiar with structures in magmatic rocks.
Syllabus
  • 1. Structures and textures of magmatic rocks, 3 hous (Verner); 2. a) Placement and movement mechanisms of magma, 2 hours (Žák); b) Brittle structure in granitoids, 1 hour (Žák); 3. Structural record in selected intrusion bodies of the Bohemian Massif; - Implications for regional geological and geodynamic development Central European variscides, 3 hours (Verner).
