- Course objectives
- The aim is to acquaint students with structures in magmatic rocks, mechanisms of magma movement and regional-geological development of Central European variscides.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to understand the mechanisms of magmatic rocks movement and formation. The student will be also familiar with structures in magmatic rocks.
- Syllabus
- 1. Structures and textures of magmatic rocks, 3 hous (Verner); 2. a) Placement and movement mechanisms of magma, 2 hours (Žák); b) Brittle structure in granitoids, 1 hour (Žák); 3. Structural record in selected intrusion bodies of the Bohemian Massif; - Implications for regional geological and geodynamic development Central European variscides, 3 hours (Verner).
