- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is explanation of conditions for interactions on mineral-water interface and specific properties of those reactions.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to: - characterize the basic processes that take place at the mineral-water interfaces - quantitatively describe the main processes (nuclei formation, crystal growth, adsorption, catalysis, electrochemical processes) - select appropriate experimental methods for the quantitative measurement of individual processes
- Syllabus
- Dynamic of reaction on solid surfaces Surface properties of colloid systems Growth of solid phases Adsorption Catalysis Rate of electrochemical reactions
