- Course objectives
- Passing through this course student should be able to:
utilize the most important methods for measurement of the rate of plant biomass production;
evaluate the factors that significantly affect production processes in plants;
use appropriate mathematical model for prediction of plant productivity. - Learning outcomes
- Practical skills and knowledge of instruments used in photosynthesis and production evaluation, ´Hands on´ training and measurements of environmental factors affecting productional processes in plants.

- Measurement of microclimatic factors in the field
- Absorption of the irradiance by leaf and canopy
- Plant cultivation in experimental setup
- Measurement the rate of photosynthesis
- Effects of photoinhibition in leaves
- Gasometric measurements of respiration and transpiration
- Use of automatic datalogging systems for data acquisition in the field
