- Course objectives
- In this updated course, the students will explore various concepts behind synthetic planning (retrosynthesis) in the context of complex organic molecules with an emphasis on natural products. Discussed case studies will go beyond the synthetic design and highlight the importance of an objective-driven perspective in formulating a synthetic plan. The course is comprised of lectures, problem sets, mid-term and final exams, and a final project (paper).
