- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to acquaint students with environmental concept of water resources and introduce them to fundamental hydrological and hydrogeological methods necessary for sustainable water resource development. Solution of tutorials based on real data will allow students to get familiar with data analyses and interpretation. Students will use described methods to develop numerical model of water resources.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will understand the fundamental methods of investigation and sustainable water resources development.
- Syllabus
- Conceptual model of water resource • Quantification of the hydrological components • Determination of hydraulic parameters of rock environment and wellbore flow performance • Hydrochemical methods – water sampling and chemical analysis focused on groundwater flow regime characterisation • Development of numerical model of water resource based on introduced methods and analyses
