- Entropy, Gibbs energy, chemical equilibrium.
- Activity, ideal and non-ideal systems, standard states, chemical potential.
- Phase equilibria, phase rule of Gibbs, Clapeyron equation.
- Solution-solvent equilibria, perfect solution, Raoult's law, Osmotic pressure.
- Principles of non-equilibrium thermodynamics, entropy production, symmetry principle of Curie and Prigogine, Onsager principle.
- Electrolytic equilibria, dissociation, solubility, activities of ions in solution, Debye and Hueckel limiting law.
