Course objectives
Introduction and significance of human parasitology, distribution of parasites, parasite-host interactions, syndrom AIDS and parasitic diseases, general characteristics of human parasites, reproduction, life-cycles, classification, epidemiology, symptoms, diagnosis, control and therapy, visceral, blood and tissue protozoa, visceral and blood trematodes, cestoda and extraintestinal tapeworms, intestinal, blood and tissue nematodes, parasitic arthropods and their medical importance, drugs for parasitic infections, geomedical aspects and laboratory techniques.
