- Course objectives
- Detailed view into plastic and brittle deformation of minerals and rocks. Focused to micro-scale. At the end of this course, students should be able to interpret main mechanisms of deformation of the rock specimen.

- Mechanisms of ductile deformation.
- Deformation microstructures.
- Measurement of crystallographic preferred orientations.
- Quantitative analysis of microstructures.
- Kinematic indicators on faults.
- Rheological strength profiles.
- Assessment methods
- Short courses and practical training. Work with real rocks and PC.
