- Course objectives
- Microscopy and special petrographical work for diploma students practicals - consultations
- Syllabus
- The instruction has the nature of consultations, pertinent to petrological work. It is focused on practical tasks, ensuing from the theme of diploma thesis, namely: - micropetrographic analyses, quantitative mineralogical analyses, rock classifications, grain-size measurement, porosity - microstructural and textural petrological characteristics - thermogravimetry and its application - X-ray diffraction study of rocks and its application - infrared spectroscopy and its application in petrographically oriented work - electron microscopy and microanalysis The instruction is modified according to needs of the diploma students in individual classes
