- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand the basic ground of town and spatial planning; to get knowledge of the most important town-planning concepts and theories ; to depict commonly used town-planning tools; to describe the reality of spatial planning especially in the European context; to describe the planning tools used in Czech Republic; to analyse particular planning projects

- 2. Socio-economic development and planning;
- 3. Important concepts of 19th and 20th century;
- 4. Planning between the wars;
- 5. Inter-war Czech planning;
- 6. Birth of modern planning system - Great Britain example;
- 7. Post-war European planning;
- 8. Town and country planning during socialism;
- 9. Spatial planning at the European scale;
- 10. European planning systems;
- 11. Contemporary planning tools in Czech Republic.
