- Learning aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge of geometry in the plane and to enhance the ability to solve spatial problems.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to:
understand and explain the tasks of school geometry,
solving problems about the focal properties of the conics,
handle the affinity and perspective collineation,
display solids in free parallel projection,
solve spatial problems in free parallel projection. - Syllabus
- Geometric mappings.
- The power of point to a circle.
- Conic - focal properties.
- Axial affinity - affine image of a circle.
- A perspective collineation.
- Free parallel projection - projection and cuts of angular solids, projection of rounded solids, nets of solids.
