- Course objectives
- The main aim of the field course is visiting of water resources sites and plants. Students will learn the basics of raw water extraction, water treatment technologies and the water delivery to household use.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- understand the principle methods of raw water extraction;
- understand the principles of raw water treatment in order to obtain potable water;
- understand the main technologies of water treatment;
- understand the principles of water sanitation and delivery to final household use. - Syllabus
- 1) Water resource Březová nad Svitavou (BVK, a.s.)
- 2) Water resource Ivančice and mine water treatment plant Oslavany
- 3) Water resource Čeperka-Hrobice (VAK PArdubice, a.s.)
- 4) Water supply objects in Brno city (BVK a.s.), local groundwater treatment plant 5) Water resources in the vicinity of Nové Mlýny dam, Mušov thermal water.

- 5 single day field trips.

- Written report summarizing water supply at one of the visited sites.
