Sustainable regional development (case study)
Annotation: The implementation of the concept of sustainable development can be effectively
supported by the application of the “think globally, act locally” approach. In this context, the
theoretical and methodological basis of the dissertation thesis will be elaborated on the basis of an
analysis of available scientific literature and own knowledge, which will be subsequently developed in
detail including a case study proposal.
Aim: The thesis aims to analyse the existing experience with the application of the above mentioned
environmental approach, and on the basis of an adequately structured synthesis it is purposefully
applied to a concrete case study of sustainable development of a selected region of the Czech Republic.
