Announcement DB Schenker Award 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,
To promote outstanding academic research on issues related to logistics, every
year, the Stinnes Foundation bestows
the DB Schenker Award.
The DB Schenker Award carries a cash prize of 10,000 Euro. The university
department that has supervised the paper winning the award will receive an
allowance of 10,000 Euro.
Papers can be handed in between May 7, 2009 and August 1, 2009. Eligible
contenders for the award are authors of doctoral and postdoctoral theses or
comparable academic papers submitted to the relevant examination boards
between February 28, 2007 and February 28, 2009. The application form for the
DB Schenker Award can be downloaded from our website at

The paper - written in English or German - should preferably be devoted to
logistics. However, we will also accept papers on topics related to information,
management or communication systems, providing that they lead to findings that
are of particular benefit for logistics.
