APPLICATIONS
for PhD candidates and Postdoctoral scholars
International Visegrad Fund in cooperation with the Ministry of Science
and Technology, Taiwan offers research scholarships for outstanding PhD candidates
and Postdoctoral scholars from the Visegrad Group (V4) to study in Taiwan.

Who can apply?
PhD candidates and Postdoctoral scholars who
are citizens of the Czech Republic, Hungary,
Poland, or Slovakia.
Under what conditions can one apply?
1. Applicants must have a very good knowledge
of English or Chinese both spoken and written.
2. At the time of applying the applicants must
be PhD candidates or Postdoctoral scholars
in following thematic areas: Nanotechnology,
Information Technology, Electrotechnical
industry, Tourism, Biotechnology, Social
Sciences and Humanities.
What’s the length of the scholarship stay?
Each research stay is intended for a period of
10 months. Successful applicants are eligible
to reapply, however, the Fund’s maximum
term of support is 20 months.
How much is the support?
Ifselected, each PhD candidate receivesthe scholarship
of € 750/month and each Postdoctoral scholar
€ 1,000/month + € 800 one-time travel grant.
What are the selection criteria?
Applicants will be selected on the basis of their
previous research experience and upon their
scientific merit and originality.
