Call for Papers


                                  International Doctoral Workshop

                             “Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies”


Date: September 10-11, 2019

Venue: Masaryk University, Faculty of Social Studies, Brno – Czech Republic


The European PhD programme in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies (SESS) and Masaryk
University organize an international workshop for doctoral students doing research in the field of
social sciences.

We invite submissions of proposals for presentations addressing topics at the intersections
of "Economy & Society".


PhD students from institutions participating in the SESS PhD network and doctoral candidates
studying at other universities in the Czech Republic are invited to apply.


Sections will be led and presentations will be discussed by experts from participating SESS
institutions.


The deadline for abstract submissions is July 20, 2019. Please send title and abstract (300 words)
to 220208@mail.muni.cz, including a short biographical statement (100 words) of the presenter,
institutional affiliation, and any technical assistance required. Applicants will receive a
response regarding their submissions by July 31, 2019.


The conference organizers will provide accommodation, food, and drinks for conference participants
during the conference. There is no participation fee. Participants are responsible for their own
