AI for tomorrow, today: Terms and conditions These are the rules (“Official Rules”) that apply to the competition, which is by IBM Client Innovation Brno for the Days of Industrial Partners, Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University (“FI MUNI”). If you do not comply with the Official Rules, you may be disqualified from the Competition without further notice. Eligibility • Entries (“application form & visualisation”) must be submitted by 6th May 2019 through the form LINK • This competition is open to individuals as well as teams consisting of 2-5 individuals. Each individual must be active student of FI MUNI. • Late, inappropriate, incomplete or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. • By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete to the best of your knowledge. • By submitting your entry, you agree that IBM can present your idea on the Days of Industrial Partners as part of the winner’s announcement. Prize • The team selected by the judging panel as the winner will receive: o open source robot – hardware. See details on https://arduino- shop.cz/arduino/5018-tjbot-cz-kit.html o IBM Merchandise • If there will be selected other top finalists and their ideas will be presented, they will receive IBM Merchandise. • Prizes will be handed over the Day of Industrials Partners organized by FI MUNI on 16th May. Teams submitting the application are required to participate on this meeting. • The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. How to win • Individuals/Teams will complete an entry form (“application form & visualisation”) by 6th May 2019 and all valid entries will be considered by a panel of judges from IBM. • Come to the Days of Industrial Partners on 16th May. IBM slot will be dedicated to presentation of top ideas and winner’s announcement! • Any decision of the panel of judges will be final. How we may use your personal data • We will only use your personal data and that of your students: fairly and lawfully; as set out in these Official Rules; and to the extent necessary for the purposes of the Competition, including arranging your receipt of the prize and collaboration with FI MUNI. • Finalist are requested to take part in promotional activity - the Days of Industrial Partners organized by FI MUNI on the 16th May. IBM Client Innovation Centre reserves the right to use the names of applicants, make photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them for Facebook page of IBM Talents CEE and internal communication within IBM. Winners may be invited to take part in further reasonable promotional activities. • IBM Client Innovation Centre reserves the right to present the FI MUNI name as well as submitted student’s ideas with properly stated authors as part of the promotional activities of this competition for a year maximum. • We will keep your personal data for a year maximum. IBM Client Innovation Centre Brno reserves the right to cancel the challenge or change any of these rules at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside of its control. Any such changes will be duly communicated.
