Character of the project
business (five months)
Description of the project
Scope of project is to simplify internal tools used in Command Center team and make a
transition from Domino to Semaphore application. This application should eliminate human
error or breech of procedure.
This project could have up to 4 goals. First goal is design web based applications which is
compliant and allows tuning only specific items which are needed to be changed time to
time. Second of them is transfer some of internal tools from Domino Database to intranet
server. Write new web based application from scratch which satisfy the required conditions
of currently used one. Third goal is creation of new web based application which is very
similar to previous ones for procedures where this application doesn't exist. Fourth goal
could be work in cooperation with z/OS programmer on interlink between new applications
and IBM tools used for activity execution. Vision of this idea is already prepared. Application
will be based on pre-filled templates.
Work activities
Student will get familiar with internal tools used in department, consulting work with
team leader and other specialists.
Student will come up with his suggestion of design.
After consultations and design proposal student will have meeting with one of senior
administrator of application portal. They will discuss details of compliance and rules.
Student will get familiar with intranet server background.
After creation tool will be tested with one of operators from command center and
customized if needed.
