General
 On speaking to Helena she has promised us a new computer to update
the one that we currently have.
 Stuart approached her about making a MIMSA stamp which she is
going to look into.
 Vasco is making a constitution, hopefully it will be ready soon and after
which a general assembly of MIMSA will be held.
Orientation Week
 The orientation week will be from the 14th
­ 16th
September 2010 this
year, it has been asked that the MIMSA board are all present sometime
around this period of time to help out in the admission process.
4th
year Electives
 In the 4th
year it has been added that the students may partake in one
chosen elective course. The choices of Clinical biochemistry and clinical
pharmacology have been chosen by the vice dean- Another 3
possibilities need to be chosen by the students- The task of getting the
students opinions has been given to the 3rd
year Reps
P.R
 Good feedback from the mixer evening with the ISC, The fundraising
rep, Christina has good relations with an English speaking school in the
region and it had been added that it would be good for the MIMSA
image to be associated with fundraising for the underprivileged.
Education
 Nikos will be using the last of the clinical session slots to give a talk on
the problems with failing exams as inspiration and encouragement to
younger students.

Non-Card holders --> 20Kc
ALL Quiz teams submitted before Monday midnight --> 120Kc per team
ALL Quiz teams submitted on the night --> 140Kc per team
Problems from students
 1st
year Biology, negative marking has been added for the exam and
the warning period was not sufficient for the students to know about
this- The issue is that under university rules they should be informed
about this issue at the start of the course, not half way through it.
 Sports enrolment is overly complex and most students don't know
when the enrolment period is, proposed to make a translated step by
step guide of how to do it all.
 Cards need to be issued to the new students when they present
themselves in the office with the correct documentation.
