Directive of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of Masaryk University No. 7/2017 On the teaching of the subject Physical Education Pursuant to Section 28(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (the “Higher Education Act”), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Higher Education Act”), I am issuing the following Directive: Article 1 Subject matter 1. The subject matter are the conditions and requirements for taking the course “Physical Education”. Article 2 Ensuring the subject tuition 1. The tuition of students' sport activities within the course “Physical Education” is provided by the Centre of University Sport (CUS) of the Faculty of Sports Studies of MU (FSpS). 2. Dates for course registration, repeated registration, publication of the schedule, seminar groups schedule, start of classes, and end of classes are announced by FSpS in the University Physical Education Schedule. Article 3 Physical education – compulsory subject 1. Students in studies for which a compulsory course “Physical Education” is prescribed are required to fulfil the requirements for two credits of sport activity courses. Students may register in one sport activity course with regular attendance and one (summer or winter) training course in a single semester. 2. Students choose from a range of sporting activity courses according to their sporting focus, interest and time availability. The schedule and instructions for the courses can be found on the FSpS website http://www.fsps.muni.cz/cus/. Students register and enrol for individual courses via the MU Information System. 3. Classes may be taken in any semester of study, however, no later than the end of the examination period of the semester before the student registers for the Final State Examination. Article 4 Sport activities – optional subject 1. After collecting two credits for the compulsory course “Physical Education”, students can enrol in a course from the range of sport activities offered in the block of free optional subjects. This is unsubsidised “Physical Education”, i.e. students pay the tuition fees for these courses from their own resources. Article 5 Final Provisions 1. This Directive repeals and replaces Directive 7/2014 entirely. 2. I entrust the interpretation of the individual provisions of this Directive to the Vice-Dean for Studies. 3. Compliance with this Directive shall be monitored by the Head of the Office for Studies. 4. This Directive shall take effect on the date of publication. Brno, 29 August 2017 prof. Ing.
