Application for PhD thesis defence


You can submit this application only after a previously completed doctoral state examination or
with a concurrently filed application for a doctoral state examination. The defence can take place
only after a successful doctoral state examination.


Please enclose to this application:

§   list of your published works

§   PhD thesis abstract (in Czech and English)

§   your curriculum vitae (with date and signature)

§   supervisor´s evaluation over the full course your PhD studies

§   transcript of records (to allow the head of the doctoral board to check whether you have
completed all courses mandatory for your programme)



In the academic year 2020/2021 the PhD thesis is submitted only in electronic form via IS MU.

The preferred format is PDF, RTF or DOC (MS Word).


The guidelines for the general format of the PhD thesis at the Faculty of Science MU are specified
by the Dean´s Measure no 8/2019:
