Where to find eBooks available for MU?
Masaryk University enables online access to many eBook collections and journals. Online
resources are automatically available from computers inside the university network. Remote
access is needed for access from home or other workplace. We recommend browser Discovery
for finding eBooks and journals recently available at MU → http://discovery.muni.cz/

Open website http://discovery.muni.cz and
switch to English.
When you work on a PC outside of the
university network, first click on the yellow bar
to sign for remote access. The login is your
UČO and secondary password.
This step is essential for access to full text
of eBooks and articles.
The homepage carries a basic search tool with the
following options:
Keyword – explores complete records of publications
Title – search for titles of articles or books
Author – search for authors‘ names

Select Title and type in the name of the specific book
you're looking for in the search field. (Select keyword
when looking for any resources of your domain, e.g.
physiology)
If our query found any eBooks, you will see eBooks
in the left menu in the section Source Types.
Filter only eBooks by selecting the same. In case the
query found many source types, display the full list by
clicking on Show more.

Select link PDF Full Text
to display the full text of
the book. In some cases,
link Online Access is
present instead.
You can study the book online, or you can download PDF (Save
pages link).
Usually, you can download only part of the book during one
session – one chapter or a limited number of pages (e.g. 50–100).
You can download another chapter or more pages during the next
session (repeated login, new browser session).
Downloaded materials can be used only for your
current study or research needs.
