EGPA - European Group of Public Administration
Study Group 2: Productivity and Quality in the Public Sector

History and planning

The EGPA Study Group on Productivity and Quality in the Public Sector was founded in 1986. Since then, it has mainly dealt with performance measurement issues. From 2001 to 2003 the focus was on quality, satisfaction and trust. From 2004 to 2006, focus was on performance measurement and management. A new strategic plan for 2007-2010 has just been issued, with measuring and comparing the performance of public sectors as common theme

The Study group normally meets during the EGPA annual conference. Other activities include a panel at ASPA 2003, and the co-organisation, with ASPA, the conference ‘A performing public sector: The second transatlantic dialogue’, which attracted over 100 participants
