SEMINAR WORK – SUMMARY - INSTRUCTIONS

   

   

   ·         There are 5 authentic texts available (A-E) from which each student will choose ONE
   topic. The texts vary slightly in length (600-1000 words).

   ·         You are required to write a summary of 250 to 300 words based on the information
   included in the file: Summarising – theory and your own knowledge.

   ·         To choose your topic you have to sign your name next to/below your topic in the
   information system. The number of students allowed to write one topic has been restricted to 4
   maximum.

   ·         You will enroll for the topic from 19 Feb to 3 March 2008 and post your seminar
   work  - summary in the IS (odevzdávárna for your respective groups) not later than 31 March
   2008.

   

   ·         Although you will share the same topic with other 3 students, you must strictly work
   on your own.

   ·         You need to state your name, UČO and seminar group (number and time) at the top of
   the document.

   ·         A summary is not a compilation of sentences from the text. Rather it´s your own
   creative work where you try to render the most important ideas from the text in a condensed
   form using your own language.
