Materials in this folder consist of two types of information: - the first group of files contains lecture notes. These should help you prepare for each lecture. They include the most important points you will need to know if you are to pass this course successfully. However, they are what they are called, just notes. They should help you orient in the topic, help you to ask the right questions and seek the right answers. These answers often are not included in the notes, to find them you will have to read the suggested literature. These lecture notes can not substitute for reading the book! In order to be able to understand the topics you will need to read the book. - the second group of files contains self-evaluation tests with the key to the right answers included at the end of each test. These tests present a chance for you to see whether you have understood the topic well enough or whether you need to push harder. It is completely up to you, whether you will use the tests. However those, who will use them, will be able to see how well they are doing and they will also have a bit of a clue, how the final exam may look like. I hope these materials will help you, and I am also looking forward any suggestion how to improve either these material or the lectures themselves. Good luck, P.S.
