The court instructed Morgan Stanley to pay $30m in damages to LVHM and appointed an expert to
examine the case which could lead to Morgan Stanley paying even higher fines. This decision is  bad
news for both small and big investors. The judgement could lead to analysts giving only positive
reports of company performance in order to avoid legal action.
