PRESENTATION  No 1

                     A 12 MINUTE POWERPOINT LECTURE– POPULAR SCIENTIFIC TOPIC

You are a grammar school teacher. You need to explain to your 18-year old students the basics of
the chosen popular scientific topic.

 ITASK: Give a 12 minute PowerPoint lecture. In your lecture you will

·         explain a specialist topic  in a way comprehensible to the layman.

·         use the facts given. If necessary some information can be omitted or expanded by using
information from other sources.

·         use visual aids.

·         use animations, videos (not compulsory) and comment on them. !!!!No internet access in
classrooms!!!!

·         share your personal interest in this topic.

·         emphasize how your students will benefit from having this information.

·         include questions for the audience to test YOU if you have done a good job explaining it.
(the length of Q&A session is not included in the required speech length. However Q&A session
should be longer than 4 minutes)
