Social Policy Reform in CR (Robert Jahoda)
Abstract of the lecture
Changes, which came into being after 1989 in the social policy, are main subjects of the lecture. The special attention is focused on the social security system, which has been transformed from state monopoly system into plural system based on three tiers: social insurance, state social support and social assistance. The history, methods, reform steps and an analysis of this process are presented in the lecture in order to allow relatively complex view on social policy. Important issues (keeping the level of equity, assignment effectiveness, coordination principles of social security in EU, etc.) will be discussed in the seminar.
