Class: Thursday 14:00 - 17:00, room 312
Teaching methods: flipped classroom, discussion, reading, teamwork, presentation
Online platform: MS Teams (needed MUNI Office account)
Aims of the course
At the end of the course, you should be able to:
- explain the importance of BPM and BPA to managers;
- justify suitable techniques, methods, and IS/ICT tools for BPA project;
- conduct BPA in an international environment
Course organization
The course is built on the flipped classroom concept, so do not expect frontal teaching and long lectures. You will need to experience the theoretical content on your own at your own pace individually or with your classmates. We will meet every week for three hours seminars, where you will try doing practical tasks that you will use in your final project. We assume that you will very (pro)actively participate in the seminars. Therefore, you need to come prepared, otherwise, you will not learn much during the seminars.
In the case that teaching in class will not be possible, we will completely migrate the teaching to MS Teams. However, the videos and possible participation in the classes will be available for those not being able to participate personally, even when normal "offline" teaching will be happening.
Assessment
The only mandatory assessment is the project report, with the rest, you can choose if you want to do it. You need to achieve at least 20 points from the project report. You can earn points during and after the classes by active participation in-class activities based on outcomes of the activities and by homework. At the end of the semester, you can take the mid-term test, which is a combination of closed and open questions based on reading and class content. In the last week of the semester, you can present a draft of your project report. During the examination period, you will need to finish the team project report which you will defense. The points are based on the following rules:- Mid-term test = 20 points
