Week 3 Nonprofit-government relations: The public policy and advocacy perspectives 29/9 Alena Kluknavská


This lecture focuses on the models of nonprofit-government relations and the connection between civil society and the state. Mainly, it looks at complementary, supplementary, and adversarial relations of government and non-profit. Figuratively, it asks, whether are these actors friends or foes? Further, the lecture looks into the topic of political advocacy of nonprofit and social movement organizations, looking particularly at lobbying, challenges, regulations and focusing on examining a voice of nonprofit and social movement organizations in politics.
