Materials
This is a practical, experiential learning course. We will work with presentation material that you produce yourself.
The course is divided into three blocks:
1. Body language
1.1. Your voice
1.2. Your face
1.3. Your body
2. Visual aids
2.1. Slides that work and slides that don't
2.2. Composition
2.3. Text, images and you
3. The main message
3.1. Six-minute presentation
3.2. Four-minute presentation
3.3. Two-minute presentation
In each class, when we have time left, we will practice:
- Spontaneous speaking
- Questions and answers
- Audience awareness
NOTE
* You must bring new work to class each week
* You must fully participate in all critiques, both giving and receiving feedback
* You may not be absent more than twice without a valid reason
* You must upload your last three presentations to the IS
