You will receive the information about your Final State Examination’s (FSE) exact place and date from the Secretariat after the Commissions are set up. The schedules will also be uploaded in the IS, on the department’s website, and the department’s notice-board. Arrive at the designated room at least 45 minutes in advance to avoid unexpected situations. You need to take a flash drive with a presentation and an identity card with you.

You can expect the final exam to proceed as follows:

1. The candidate is invited into the room and introduced to the committee.
2. DEFENSE PART OF THE EXAM BEGINS
3. The candidate is given the floor to present his/her thesis - cca. 12 min presentation is expected.
4. Reviews are presented incl. the questions in those reviews.
5. The candidate has the time to answer the questions from the reviews.
6. Discussion about the thesis is opened - questions can will be asked by the committee members. Candidates react to the questions.
7. Defense part of the exam is concluded
8. ACADEMIC DISCUSSION PART OF THE EXAM BEGINS
9. Questions are asked by the committee members around content included in courses profiling your programme:

10. Academic discussion part of the exam is concluded
11. The committee has a short closed door meeting to discuss your result
12. You are brought back into the room to hear your results.
