Assignment instructions

Instructions for the peer assessment process will be automatically sent to your university email on November 11 at 8:00. To participate in the peer assessment, you need to upload your literature review in the assigned folder before November 19 23:00. Please note that the peer assessment tool will start automatically and late submissions will not be accepted. It is therefore crucial that you submit your text on time.

You will have from November 20 to November 26 to elaborate the peer assessment. Your task is to evaluate two literature reviews written by your fellow students and provide them with constructive feedback. Please evaluate their work objectively, and provide helpful suggestions for improvement in writing style. Your evaluation will be anonymous and your name will not be visible to the students whose work you are reviewing. Your evaluation will be anonymous and your name will not be visible to the students whose work you are reviewing. Please note that the peer assessment tool will automatically close after the deadline, and late submissions will not be accepted. It is therefore crucial that you submit your peer assessment on time. 

You will be asked to review the literature reviews and respond to the following questions: 

1. Summary and evaluation of key findings:  Did the student effectively introduce the topic and clearly define the research statement in the introduction? Are reviewed papers presented separately or integrated into a cohesive discussion? Does the student identify the strengths and limitations of selected papers?

2. Topic sentence:  Pick one good sentence from the text that illustrates the connection across multiple studies.

3. Language:  Is the text written in a clear and easy to understand manner? Is the style appropriate for academic writing, including the correct use of abbreviations, absence of contractions or colloquial language, and maintaining a formal tone and objective perspective?

4. APA citation format and references:  Does the text incorporate exactly 6-8 relevant references, cited using APA format? Does the text include one direct quote? Are the references listed accurately in APA style and in alphabetical order at the end of document?

5. Overall comment: What is your overall impression of the assignment? What has the student done well? What areas could be improved upon? Is text putting the authors in conversation with each other?

6. Grading: What grade would you assign to the quality of the assignment? Select from the following options: A, B, C, D, E, F.


Peer Assessment includes two steps:

1. Submission of your text - make sure you submit your text to the assigned folder before the deadline. 

2. Evaluation of two literature reviews - picture below shows how to enter the evaluation in IS.
