Homework group assignment: Mobile Application

Description of the assignment

Goal of the assignment is to propose solution for application with usage on mobile devices (smart
phones, tablets).


Proposed solution should add some additional value to the customer. So it must be either unique
(solution which defines new market) or it must have some comparative advantage against competitors.
You can choose any business field you want (there aren’t any restrictions what application should
do). Solution can be targeted either for enterprises or for end customers.

Definition of the group

You have to setup group which consists at least from 3 members. Each member will be responsible for
its sub-task of the whole solution. Amount of group members can be up to 5 (5 is number of sub-task
defined below). In the group you have to cooperate to create one consistent solution with all
sub-tasks.

Conditions to pass the homework assignment

Each sub-task of the solution must contain at least 3 pages (A4 format) of the result. Used
language is English.


Sub-tasks are defined as following:


  * Mandatory: Describe motivation for the solution. Identify business field and target users of
the solution. Describe added value for the customer (saved time, decreased costs, etc.) and try to
quantify it (amount of time saved etc.). Compare solution with similar existing solutions (strong
and weak points).
  * Mandatory: Define basic project plan containing key project data, project organization,
components, project volume, course of the project, risks, project checks and control
  * Mandatory: Create at least two use case diagrams for basic use cases of your solution. Create
basic business domain model. Create deployment diagram. Add some brief description to your diagrams
to have them understandable.
  * Optional: Define configuration management plan. Describe used tools. Describe how you would
like to manage changes in requirements / documents / source code. Define your branching strategy.
Define how you deal with deployment. Define backup strategy.
  * Optional: Define basic test plan with test strategy limited to unit, integration and system
test level.


Document must contain:


  * Name and UČO of the solver and co-solvers
  * Name of the assignment
  * Task execution itself (only your part)
  * All your assumptions and ideas related to the assignment
