Ranking konferencí dle metodiky FI 2013 + aplikace na data z RIVu za období 2007-2011
Rozdělení konferencí do kategorií A*, A, B, C, D (kde A* je nejlepší) bylo provedeno na základě informací ze tří zdrojů:
CS Conference Rankings (crank): nejpřísnější ranking: v kategorii 1 je 67 konferencí, v kategorii 2 je 126, v kategorii 3 je 139.
CORE ranking: nejznámější ranking, o trochu méně přísný než crank, v A* je 62 konferencí, v A je 352, v B je 527.
MS Academic Search (konference v oblasti Computer Science): „Field rating“ Microsoftu má širší pokrytí, ale je méně spolehlivý.
Pro zařazení do skupin byla použita následující kritéria:
A*: Protože se seznamy nepřekrývají dostatečně, jsou v nich duplicity, podivnosti, zmatky apod., alespoň pro tu nejvyšší kategorii musí konference
splňovat více kritérií, a to buďto dvě ze tří
o field rating >= 60
o core A*
o crank 1
nebo všechna tři následující
o field rating >= 60
o core A
o crank 2
Hranice 60 je maximální hodnota taková, aby se výsledný počet konferencí (69) trefil do požadovaného rozmezí (60–70).
A: Alespoň jedno z
o core A
o crank 2 nebo 3
o field rating >= 60
Bohužel mnohé konference s core A nejsou obsaženy v žebříčku MS, což ale zjevně nelze počítat jako 0, takže tuto kategorii nelze rozumně uspořádat.
Pokud ale jako A označíme vše s core A, měli bychom tak počítat i crank 3, protože konferencí s crank 1+2+3 je méně než konferencí s core A
(na datech FI z RIVu 2007-2011 jsou všechny crank 3 alespoň core B). Pouze poslední kritérium naplňuje (v datech FI) jedna konference, v porovnání
s ostatními 'A' je ale field rating >= 60 vysoká hodnota, možná by tato hranice mohla být i menší.
B: Alespoň jedno z
o core B
o field rating >= 13
Zařazení všech core B má důvod stejný jako výše pro A. Hodnota 13 je na datech FI nejmenší pozorovaná hodnota field ratingu pro konferenci s core B
(a nijak výjimečná, většina dalších hodnot do 20 je zastoupena také). Tato hodnota by naopak mohla být stanovena vyšší.
C: Sborník je vydán u jednoho z následujících nakladatelů: Springer, Elsevier, ACM, IEEE, Kluwer, Dagstuhl.
D: Zbytek.
Následuje seznam konferencí, kde A* jsou uvedeny všechny, A a B jsou uvedeny jen ty, které se vyskytly v datech FI z národního Hodnocení 2012 (po kliknutí
se zobrazí výsledky hodnocení výsledků FI v RIVu z let 2007-2011). Sloupce crank, core a MS jsou hodnoty z jednotlivých žebříčků.
