Stakeholders analysis
Stakeholder is defined by PMI (Project Management Institute http://www.pmi.org/) as:
"An individual, group or organization who may affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision, activity or outcome of the project."
Stakeholder identification is one of the first process in project initiation phase defined in PMBOK (Project Mnagement Book of Knowledge by PMI). You can learn more about PMI at PA179 Project Management.
