Tutorials

Attendance at tutorials is compulsory and absence will be penalized as follows:

• 1 unexcused absence : without penalty
• 2 unexcused absence : -5 points for the final test
• 3 unexcused absence : -10 points in the final test
• 4 or more unexcused absences : -15 points in the final test

Please, do not take it as bullying, it was proved very useful. In addition, most of the examples at the exam are based on examples from the tutorials.

Final written exam

In the examination period, there will be a written exam consisting mainly of numerical tasks similar to those of the exercises. Usually there is also a question on definitions and possibly an easy proof. Based on the points of the written exam (minus points for absence on tutorials) marks C-F will be given.

• 75-100 C; after oral exam A, B or C
• 66-100 C
• 56-65 D
• 41-55 E
• 0-40 F

Oral exam

If you get at least 75 points at the exam and you are looking for a better mark than C, you can subscribe to the oral exam. Please send me an email to rehak@fi.muni.cz and we will arrange a date and time of the exam. Let me encourage you to take this opportunity to talk about probability and try oral exam earlier than at the final state exam.
