Seminar goals:

• To be informed across different research groups of the Lasairs about current research topics.
• To improve presentation skills, timing, etc.

Seminar format:

• 2nd week: Lasaris promo session: Presentation of research topics for "foreign" (i.e., not-Lasaris) students seeking topics of bachelor/master thesis or willing to participate in research.
• 4th week: Zuzana Lena Ansorgova:  Technical communication with focus on technical writers and benefits of their work in the context of software engineering.
  
• Other weeks: One or two Lasaris members will present their research papers.

Requirements put on the talk:

• Your paper accepted at an ongoing (preferred) or recent conference, or a journal paper.
• 20 minutes + discussion.
• Details should be selected at the same level as would be presented at the target conference (or a relevant conference in the case of a journal paper). On the other hand, good conference presentations should attract the attention of the (general) audience and motivate people to read your paper. Therefore, providing a broader context and understandable contribution is a must.
• A demo session after the discussion is welcome (if applicable).

Tasks:

• Lasaris team leaders: Prepare short (max. 10-15 mins) presentations with open positions, topics, etc.
• Other Lasaris members: Prepare open topics for Bc/Mgr thesis as PDF/PPT/...
• All: Send me your presentation (PDF/PPT/...) or at least let me know what you will present until 26.2.2020. Send it to oslejsek@fi.muni.cz.
• Martin Macák?: Propagate the Lasaris promo session.
• All: Send me (at least one :-) title of the paper to be presented and also when the conference will be (or was) organized. Deadline: 26.2.2020. Based in the gathered information I'll outline the schedule.
