Preparation of Thesis proposal

Organization Structure

The course offers support to students writing their thesis proposals.

The schedule of the course is usually discussed during the first two weeks of the semester. The timetable is arranged according to the learning and teaching duties of all students and lectors.

The students are invited to the introductory lesson by email. 

There are several meetings during the following two semesters:

Introductory Lesson

  • 16. 3. 2022 15:00 - 16:00, C417
  • motivation speech (vice-dean for research, development, and doctoral studies)
  • formal requirements (Office for Doctoral and International Studies)
  • schedule of Student's Topic Presentations

Student's Topic Presentations

  • introduction to the research topics
  • the studied problem description, known approaches, open problems, chosen goals, achieved results (if any?), and plan of the future work
  • 20 min. presentation + 10 min. discussion for each student

  • for motivation, there are samples of thesis proposals in student materials
