Lecture

 The lectures take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Science at Kotlářská 2:

 Unfortunately, this room is not equipped with sufficient audiovisual technology, so the lectures cannot be recorded. 

Just a small reminder: before the start of classes, you are required to fill out the following enrolment quiz (ROPOT), so that you have a feedback on your entry knowledge (if it is sufficient or  if you would rather postpone enrolling in the course by a year).

In the first lecture, we will review what statistics is and its role in computer science. Then, we will look at several examples of its misuse. Finally, we will go over the steps involved in data preparation before starting our own analysis.
