Hypotheses and the dataset size
● 0 points:​ The hypotheses are not formulated at all or are not reasonably testable. The
dataset size is small (not tested on both male and female photos, only 1–3 images for each
hypothesis)
● 1–2 points: ​The dataset is small: Either less than 5 hypotheses are tested or there is not
enough data points (images) for the individual hypotheses.
● 3 points: ​The dataset is of appropriate size (5+ hypotheses with image adjustments for
both Martin and Agáta) but some hypotheses are not explicitly formulated.
● 4 points:​ At least 5 distinct hypotheses (each using different features) are tested. The
hypotheses are well-formulated and testable. Each hypothesis is tested on both provided
images (Martin/Agáta) with at least 4 modifications (+the base image).
Dataset quality
● 0 points:​ The image adjustments are inappropriate: Either overblown, not corresponding to
the hypotheses or they do not form a continuous spectrum to support/reject the hypotheses.
● 1–3 points: ​The quality of image adjustments is varying. For some, it’s appropriate and
supporting the hypotheses, for others, it’s not. The awarded number of points depends on
the number of hypotheses, where the images are of higher quality.
● 4 point:​ The data (images) correspond to the stated hypotheses. The image adjustments
are appropriate (particularly, the adjustments are not overblown).
Report and interpretation of results
● 0 points:​ The report is hard to read, lacks structure or results interpretation.
● 1 point:​ The report has a reasonable structure but falls behind in the interpretation (is
overgeneralizing or otherwise inappropriate).
● 2 points: ​The report reads well, is well structured and interprets the results correctly.
Trap conditions (causing 0 points in total)
● Underlying data (images + guessed age) not submitted.
● Only submitting the data (images + guessed age) without the accompanying report with
hypotheses and result interpretations.
