  • This year the topics of readings will be discussed at the first meeting. We will deal with topics related to Machine Learning, with emphasis to the learning-related to Math Information Retrieval@FI, visualization of similarity search, Representation Learning, and others.

Week 1

  1. 10:00 Class introduction, warm-up round-up discussion (expectation, topics/expertise/background, suggested topics, and readings). Bring your research ideas to read, study, present and discuss!
  2. 10:15 Principles of research communication and scientific work, Reading a scientific paper.
