• Development of an application for data management (slinkydata.com) in Python
• Test application features created by another developers
• Help with data management in MySQL database (query optimization) and scripting
• Work regularly with open-source technologies
• Maintenance of internal and application-related documentation
• Direct communication with customer
Qualifications
• Experience with developement in Python (pandas, flask, django)
• Experience with database management - MySQL/PSQL
• Hands-on experience at least in one scripting language (bash, python)
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good time-management skills, interpersonal and communication skills
• Desire to learn new skills and technologies
• English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Severin Simko IT Services is a young and dynamic IT company based in Slovakia and the Czech Republic which was
established in 2018 to provide cybersecurity solutions for log management, infrastructure monitoring, intrusion
detection and prevention and general IT Infrastructure security hardening and automation.
At Severin Simko IT Services, we are focused on helping small and medium sized businesses and individuals who
want to improve their cybersecurity in order to protect their own business, customers, and data from cybersecurity
threats or automate the repetitive technical tasks.
We design, implement and maintain cybersecurity solutions using open-source technologies to reduce downtime
and business losses and provide protection of business-critical data according to the industry standards.
Our area of expertise also includes automation of a broad range of IT functions including application deployment,
configuration management and continuous delivery using Ansible and services related to a long-term Linux support
and IT outsourcing and consulting.
ABOUT US
We are operating in small teams of 3 to 5 people where each person has different project responsibilities and
junior members are led by the senior technicians to help them to remove obstacles and grow. We have an
office in Kosice, Slovakia and a small office in Brno, Czech Republic, due to the current situation the position is
mostly remote. Our current employees are based in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We work on projects for
international customers based in the US, Germany, Austria and the UK.
We are currently looking for a talented student/intern for a software engineer position to join our growing
team and help us with a project called slinkydata.com. Slinkydata is a data management platform for a lead
generation company in the US. We designed and implemented this platform from scratch and we are looking
for somebody to help us with implementation of new features and data management.
