Aspiration of Foreign Object

Adult or a child since 1 year

§   Cause: bolus, by the children small parts

§   Symptoms: dyspnoea, cough (defensive mechanism), choking, panic fear, cyanosis



 First aid:

§   Consciouss patient

4   try to get the patient to cough

4   give to the patient hard slaps on the back between the shoulder blades

4   Heimlich maneuver not by the gravids and children up to one year

§   Unconsciouss patient, not breathing – start CPR
