Cheating

"Cheating" (in strength training) are connected (sometimes) with hypertrophy methods. It's better to know why we should avoid it:

Modification

Try to modify your exercise with some alternatives (dumbells vs barbell vs kettlebell) to avoiding plateau-gain and stereotype. Even such a basic exercise as squat could be done in 11 variations:
